Last Sunday one of my uncles visited me. Though I was meeting him after a long time but he didn’t seem to have changed at all. My uncle always laughed like a child; without any inhibitions and straight from his heart. The surprise? He still laughs like that. If I tell you about his life then your definition of ‘bad luck’ would certainly be pushed. But I won’t do that as it will dilute the intention of this particular post.
All I want to share is what he told me when I asked him how he still manages to smile in his life-is-beautiful manner. This is what he said, “Even if Tomorrow is the most gorgeous woman on earth I don’t fantasize about her. If Today is the girl I love the most but I know I can’t get her I still live it to the full and not stop mid-way. And if Yesterday is the first crush of my life I, at best, remember her but never miss her.”
God bless him!

i would always remember those words! god bless your uncle!
love the personification...
am, ok, hey again.
I read your second book, as usual in like 3 hours or something.
to be frank, i didn't like it initially anf i planned to toss it over after 40 pages, but then i simply couldn't stop. it's something about the way you write, portray all the feelings and emotions, that just doesn't permit the reader to leave.
I can't say it has the same affect that A Thing Beyond Forever had, but still, I know, this is going to be one of those books, i can read again and again.
wow!!!!
@ Aadya: Thanks once again for pouring in your honest sentiments. Appreciated!
@ Sandya: :)
hey nonvoneel............juss completed up ur book wid tears(which my mumma saw, askd for d reason n ryt nw,is busy reading the same!!!!!!!!!).......a thing beyond forever........really a very gud work wid it's most b'ful lines......."...the difference between a mother & a wife is that we come out of the former &go into the latter.it's like emerging out from one sea-wet with queries-immersing into another;in the quest for answers.lady, will you enlighten me....forever?"
its simply awesome........
Thanks a lot Akshu!!! I value your feedback...wish you a prosperous new year ahead...take care!
you are welcome, and yeah, i forgot to actually mention, my favorite quote of this book...
" true love happens only once. You get it or lose it but be rest assured, you never come out of it"
I hope to see more books coming along.
Keep writing :)
:)
hey an interesting thought that you shared....loved it!!!
ur uncle's words are simply wonderfull... a pereson enlightened with the true knowledge of the world through several phases in life can only come up wid such thought... and i genuinely believe dat u get the fuel for tomorrow from the good moments of today and learn the tactics to handle a mess from ur bad ones... ur uncle's is also a creative mind just like u...! is it genetical?? lol... :D
The 'uncle' part is a figment of my imagination :P
hmm i understood dat... i truely respect dat figment of ur imagination so i respect dis uncle of ur's whereever he is... :)
Ur books also suggested something like the tommorrow -today-yesterday,all connected to each other......it will find you even if u dont want it to find ...But this small concept is awesome to define the concept of the connection between all three.........
Thanks Arpita!
