Boiling Milk

I’m in the kitchen. I put the bowl filled with milk on the oven. I turn on the burner. I wait for the milk to start boiling. I hum a song as well. I hear my mobile phone ring out loud. I realize it’s in the bedroom. I scamper out to attend the call. I come back in the kitchen after some time. I see the boiling milk has spilled all over the place. It’s a mess.

I was committed to boil the milk. Thus, it was important for me to ignore the call. I didn't.

Now all I can do is clean up. But will I be able to retain the spilled milk? Some of it at least?

I sigh.

Commitment requires full devotion and concentration towards the thing.

Wow! Nice read bro!

Well... the moment commitment is broken... something always spills.. & most of the time it can not be retained.. no, not even the least of it.. what say bro?

Good...But I think that its okay for the milk to spill over at times....commitment to one thing does not mean non-committment to others. Attending the phone is as important as boiling the milk....so....moderation of both is important. You could have lessened the flame of the gas...that could have have stopped the spill over. Otherwise, I think its important to create mess at times and then clean it...otherwise life will become too monotonous...don't u think?

Thanks Antara.

Arindam, absolutely bro!

Suvanjana, talking for myself I can say there are other ways of making life interesting than messing it up and cleaning it later for that to me is a waste of time...since the kind of mess am talking about in this post can't be cleaned up totally.. :)

Nature you can't change or stop, it is made to be completed with conditions. Well only one can do to get it on and utilize it to work for one. The outer milk is meant to be clear and the remain is with you still then save it and don't forget to rejoice this mistake for what happens here is for end so nothing stays, why fret over anything. And see every thing has somehow some little or more priorty but you need to learn switching otherwise you will catch one and lose another...so why not decrease the flame and catch the phone saying 'hi i've sweet milk getting boiled so stay for a second and i'll be connected soon' smile...

You could have lowered the flame:)

There are many important things in life and we should learn to balance.
